Have you ever met a family that is truly just the sweetest? That is how this family was! I met the Estrich family on a rainy Saturday morning (they were so gracious and flexible with the time when we weren't even sure we were gonna be able to do the session because of the heavy rain) at Montrose Harbor Bird Sanctuary in Chicago. Little did we know but it was bird migrating day so there were tons of birds and bird watchers everywhere! We did have to doge a few red wing black birds during our session. It was a very special time for me as we ran around grabbing photos here and there and talking as we did. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is just making connections with the families and couples I get to meet.
We hit up the best photo spots at Montrose Harbor including the city scape background, open fields in the preserve and beautiful trees lining the edge of the persevere and lake. Their little girl was the absolute sweetest and smiled perfectly for the photos! We met a duck along the way and she was fascinated. For a couple of the photos I helped get her attention with my own quacking. It was quite the scene in the middle of this bird sanctuary. I am sure all the bird watchers were really loving that!!
